Technos: 3D Imaging

The new Technos MPX is able to perform 3D ultrasound imaging: the new dedicated software, specially developed in conjunction with MedCom for the advanced "multiple family", will give you the opportunity to take advantage of innovative ways of visualizing conventional ultrasound images.

The fully integrated 3D capability allows for coronal, sagital and lateral scanning of the organ or pathology under examination. Diagnosis is more immediate and safe, because complete visualization of the region under examination provides additional information to study and develop. The three-dimensional realistic imaging of anatomic structures can be definitely achieved with standard probes.

The innovative InViVo Scan Technos Edition feature includes both software and hardware devices: a fully integrated system which meets the requirements of MDD 93/42/EEC for the acquisition and visualization of 3D ultrasound data, a product in compliance with the latest requirements of medical diagnostics.

You can choose to install the freehand technique (InViVo Scan Lite) or the "Flock of Birds®" (InViVo Scan NT) 3D option with the possibility of performing Virtual Sonography, a dedicated teaching tool that will help even lesser expert clinicians learn how to correctly manage the 3D performances: a pseudo-real scanning of the current volume-of-interest just by clicking on the dedicated keys and moving the probe as a virtual ultrasound examination.

The possibility of measuring the length, surface, perimeter, diameter and angle as well as volume areas in the three-dimensional display of the object are just a few of the additional functions of this revolutionary tool. It provides a quantitative analysis, and not just a qualitative acquisition, while the link to a special database helps you file all your personal datasets.

You can create additional video animations, generated by acquisition or selected through an external storage medium: movies of abdominal structures, the heart and tendons are now available immediately. Video sequences (animations) can be recorded, loaded and stored.

After acquiring ultrasound images (sequence scanning or sampling), a special 3D orientation window will allow you to visualize the three orthogonal section planes with their spatial orientation: the different colors of the borders (yellow, green and blue) permit classification of the section image windows and the 3D orientation window. You'll be able to produce both a transparency representation (X-ray simulation) and a surface imaging of the object of interest.

The specific parameters of the 3D display of color data (ultrasound Color-Flow, Angio-Mode, PowerDoppler, etc.) and gray values can be identified and specified; predefined and user-defined application settings are available for your purpose. You'll create your own image collections (3D window, section window, oblique-cut window, performed measurements, histogram window) by saving (true-color) TIFF images in the database or on the hard disk.

The 3D Sight Desktop Version is available for you: just install it onto your PC and you'll be able to use the same 3D software running on the Technos with the task to visualize and elaborate volumes previously acquired with Technos.
